In less than a week I will be a mom for 21 years! Seems like yesterday I just had my children. I may not have been the best mom in the world, but I do have to say I have done a DANG good job!!! I never put my own needs in from of my kids needs. We were never rich, but we had sufficient, which is all we needed...
Over the years they experienced many things together, which has made them who we are today...(like it or not)
Smart, Independent, Funny, Generous, Thoughtful and above all else Loving!
There are times I look back and think, "What could I have done differently"? Then to answer my own question...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! These kids have never really been into any major trouble..Have they made bad choices? Of course they have, but nothing that couldn't be handled and nothing too severe than major consequences needed to be paid. They each have their own story of life and I can almost guarantee that they wouldn't trade it for anyone else's life story...
They have grown and have become their own. I hope and pray that my children will always be close to one another (no they don't always get along, but they do care about one another). I hope they will always communicate and love each other and keep their families close to one another. Having a close family means they will always have someone in their corner no matter what. I want them to share memories of each other with their families and have family close at all times to build on those memories (and not back stab each other with gossip and hurtful words).
Always remember...FAMILIES ARE FOREVER!!!
