Roadside beggars

Today in Sunday School the topic was rather interesting...I have decided that topics of the lesson vary depending on who is giving the lesson, but that's okay because I always try to find a purpose of the lesson.

Today the teacher was teaching about no judging others and their situations in life, meaning beggars.  While I have been through enough of my own issues, I do my best not to judge others and what their situation in life may be.

While sitting there listening I thought about myself and what I do.  I don't judge people because of their life circumstances because they are there for some reason.  I do what I can for others when I can, but when it comes to those on the roadside I have a very difficult time doing something.  Josh on the other hand gives random strangers on the side of the road rides to another state.  I get so paranoid when he does that, but he feels its the right thing to do.

I hope that one day I will be able to be more open to helping others in these situations, but then again...Josh is a giant compared to me so if someone had any ill intentions toward him, once they saw him I'm pretty sure they would have second thoughts...

Although, I do give service in my own way, giving to another freely on the side of the road is a different circumstance in today's world...
