Another week closer...

Today I completed a milestone which I has been long overdue. I run 10 miles this morning preparing for the half marathon I will we doing in two weeks. I have ran 10 miles 3 other times in the past, but this time it's been totally different...

Training has been totally on me! I've had to study and learn what is best for me for my weekly training sessions. Some weeks were so hard just to be motivated enough to want to train. Nicole would go with me to the gym & monitor how I was doing. Our plan was to have her ride the bike with me during the half, while I ran. But the run I'm doing won't allow her to do that....bummer! When I asked about that and was told no, I realized the outcome of training would be different and I'd have to refocus...which hasn't been easy! I had to learn to focus on myself & my own thinking to get me through long runs even though she was next to me.

Every Saturday (well almost every Saturday) I would get up early to do my long runs. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm not the fastest and greatest runner, but at least in doing it!!!

These are my last two runs. Today's is on the right...my time/pace has slowly been improving!
