It's Been Awhile

Time has flown by, we have been back in Las Vegas for about 3 weeks now.  Everyday has been jammed with something to do.  I have been unpacking bags that were stuffed full of stuff when we left from Washington, talk about time consuming!  Basically its just finding a place to put the stuff.  While we were gone, Breanne belongings seem to have exploded...stuff is everywhere.  Poor Nicole didn't have anywhere to put her clothes until yesterday.  My mom decided the girls needed a bigger dresser, so she bought "Emilie"...the most beautiful dresser I have seen.  Nicole decided Breanne has enough space, so she claimed Emilie as her own :)  I have also been looking for work.  That seems to be a pain-staking task.  I went to a job interview on Monday, but it was actually a screening to see if I would be a good candidate for the job.  It turned out I was a very good candidate and he said I was his #1 recommendation, but so far I haven't heard anything.  Who knows if I will or not, but all I can do is keep looking and trying (of which I have done both).  Josh started a job on Monday.  He is doing something he has NEVER done in his life!!!  He is a salesman....  I'm not sure how well he will do with it, but for now its something.  He is selling heavy equipment  parts, or at least trying to sell them.  He says he's trying, but it is difficult because nobody is really in the market right now, especially when they don't have any broken equipment.  But he will stick with it until something better comes along.  All he wants to do is get his schooling overwith at this point so he can go onto law school.  But we found out the other day that all his classes were not scheduled, so now he will finish in May instead of January.  That is fine though, it will give him less wait time for law school, which should start in August.

I feel like I have been rambling all over the place so far with all this information...

That's okay though...

As for me I have been keeping busy with unpacking, organizing everyone, and just trying to take care of me needs, which most often are left till last.  I have been looking for work and doing my schooling in the meantime.  I am in a statistics class right now.  It is the hardest class I have taken so far.  I am really looking forward to it being overwith, but I still have about 7 weeks ahead of me....(my poor family).  I usually sit down everyday and read for understanding.  It just doesn't seem to want to click in my head.  I work the mathematical problems, but that takes at least one hour for figure one problem.  I keep trying.  My mind tends to get brain-fried, so I take a break and come back to it awhile later to do some more.  A little at a time gets it finished.  I also ask Josh for help when he is able.  He has really helped me and has had tons of patience with me...seeing as how sometimes I'm not too pleasant I get frustrated with myself.  So the breaks away from it help me to get a clear head and I can focus on it once again.

My kids seem to be doing better now that we are back here again too.  Adam has better demeanor which is good because he's actually pleasant to be around again.  He has a few struggles and issues he is working on.  He will figure it out, it will just take him some time.

Nicole has been better as well too.  She did have a little struggle when we went to church the first Sunday we were here, but the following Sunday was a total turn around.  She will be going to camp in a couple weeks, and is looking forward to it.  She has also been hanging out with friends doing things she hasn't been able to do in a long time.  She is also working on her personal progress.  She has been wanting to learn  how to make a quilt for one of her projects, so yesterday I came across a bunch of material for quilts.  I asked her if she wanted to start, she did, so we got started.  I taught her what she needed to do.  I even taught her to sew on the sewing machine a basic stitch (that's about all I know) for her quilt.  She is still in the process of working on it.  Nicole has even continued practicing her piano.  The first time she play, my mom just about fell off her chair because Nicole was so good!  Everyday she will sit down and practice something at the piano.  It makes me happy to know she is still trying.

Breanne has been busy.  I don't see her very often.  She went to California for a week after we got here and when she is here she is working all day.  She makes me very proud!  Sometimes I do question some of her decisions, but at this point there is really nothing I can do except tell her how I feel about it.

So all this is what my family has been up to for the past month.  I think we are all relived to be out of Washington and away from the dramatic life we were in while we were there.  There are a few people Josh misses, but still has communication with.  Me on the other hand...I don't miss a sole, and I don't think a sole misses me!  Colie misses a couple friends and her horse Annie.  I don't think Adam misses anyone either, so we are happy to be moving on.  We have been really blessed since coming back too.  We continue to focus on making past wrongs right again.  It will take some time, but we are determined to not look back.  I am focused on finishing my schooling, getting a job, working on paying debts to all those I owe so nobody can say I owe anything to them.  I know for a fact that when I stay focused, this desire will soon go to the wayside, just like other things do eventually.
