Thoughts of today :)

I'm not exactly sure were to start with this today!


I've had tons on my mind the past few days.  So I suppose I will begin with...today is my 21st wedding anniversary!  Yes 21 years! Long, long, years! So many of those years I didn't think we would make it.  Several of those years we were not together to celebrate.  Speaking of celebrating...we never really have had a celebration.  That's okay though, I'd rather keep it quiet anyway! 


When I look back over the 21 years, I think of so much that has happened  (good and bad).  These years has created who I am today.  I have been through even amounts of happiness and sadness.  It has never been easy for Josh and I.  We struggle on a continuous basis to work together ,or should I say compromise?  Some days I want to strangle him and have nothing to do with him...(the feeling is mutual I'm sure), other days I don't want to be away from him and miss him even when he is at work.  Although I will never miss him as much as I did for the 7 years we were apart (those who know us know why).  After those 7 years, we have worked very hard to work together, mostly because I became so independent I became stubborn and could take care of myself without having to rely on him...I have to admit, that is still a constant struggle for me. 


So needless to say...even after 21 years, we are still working on making our marriage work.  It is a full time job that I haven't given up on yet.  (Did I already mention how stubborn I am?)  I am also glad that Josh is just as stubborn.  Neither one of us is perfect, but we are perfect for each other...despite our individual flaws that drives each other crazy.  But with all that work, we have come a long, Long, LONG way together....
